Microsoft launches AI start-up program at station F in Paris
Microsoft wants to accelerate the start-ups in Paris. The company will focus on the start dealing with the artificial intelligence field. In the same approach, they have started a new program for AI start up at Station F by the end of this month.
The company will primarily focus on the AI start-ups along with the partnership with INRIA. The company is going to select the top 5 or 6 startups that can foster an ecosystem around INRIA and themselves. Christophe Shaw, Microsoft France developer experience leader said,” It’s just the beginning. We plan to include 100 startups in this club.”
Recast.ai is the first start-up that will join this club. Recast.ai has been building a service that will help people to launch and build chatbots. The company will take care of the hosting space and the server for the chatbots. There are few companies in France that are using the Recast.ai services. The company uses Microsoft Azure to host the chatbots.
According to the Recast.ai members, they are thankful to Microsoft for including this in this program. They are also excited to work alongside other AI start-up so that they can learn something new from others. They are hopeful that they will be able to get more clients as being now associated with the Microsoft’s program.
Microsoft has made one thing very clear that they are not planning to invest or acquire the start-ups with this program. They just want to help the companies with developer’s perks. The companies that will be part of this start-up will get free credit on Microsoft Azure that will help them to launch their services at low cost in the initial part.
This is a great service started by Microsoft and will prompt more people to go for the AI start-ups.
