Island 359

Are you a fan of Jurrasic Park and loved the affairs that movie indulged you into? If yes then there's a great news for you CloudGate Studio is launching its dinosaur virtual reality shooter Island 359 on early access in the Oculus Store. The game imports you to a jungle world where larger than life dinosaurs jump at you in Jurassic Park-style as you try to take them down. Island 359 is an ambitious project focusing into action territory. Already out for the HTC Vive and on Steam, it uses the Oculus Rift headset and Oculus Touch controls.

Island 359 actually begins by dropping you down into a jungle from a helicopter and from a camp you gear yourself as you get ready to go hunting. The game allows you to teleport freely around a level, instead of putting the user into survival horror. It allows you to have access to an arsenal of weaponry to attack and protect yourself from all the dinos attacking you. It establishes a complex connection with players and lets you face different conditions which may be comical but at times can make you feel intimidated. As you act towards dinos while confronting, you may run down your stamina and to recover from that you have to stay in one place for some time.

The game is expected to be split into two fundamental modes: Survival and Story. The Survival mode, which is the first mode hitting Early Access on Vive later this summer, is about exploring and trying to stay alive. The Story mode, which is expected to release later and will let you dig into the deeper darker secrets of the jungle and piecing together a rich history of intrigue along the way.

The game has a fresh theme and smart design choice which has hope to attain the player's attention. It is a project from CloudGate, which might help them to become a household name among VR enthusiasts. Island 359 will be available on Oculus Home for $20. It's launching on sale at 33 percent off and is expected to arrive on Steam Early Access for the HTC Vive later this summer.
