Amazon Kindle team is working on augmented and virtual reality

We all know that Jeff Bezos always remains excited when it comes to trying latest technology. So, has been the case with the augmented and virtual reality. The e-commerce giant has already made its mark in the field of machine learning and artificial intelligence. But, now it seems like the company also wants to get its hand in augmented and virtual reality.

According to the latest report, Amazon wants to work on the graphics rendering technologies and animation toolkit. They are also planning to hire lots of software developers to deal with this problem. Amazon is likely to work on the graphics rendering technologies like OpenGL, Direct3D, Metal. They will also work on the animations and physics engines like Unity and Tubulenz. The company is planning to add virtual reality feature to its product. They have already been linked to working on augmented reality technology for helping the customers make a better decision before buying the product. Kindle is one platform that has been remaining untouched by the company for a long time. But, it seems like Amazon is trying to re-innovate Kindle to make it more appealing to users.

Amazon has also recently won several patents related to mixed reality related to AR and VR shopping. Well, there is no confirmation from the company but this fact cannot be ignored that Amazon is trying to invest heavily in AR and VR considering its growing popularity.
