HTC Vive and Sixense launched MakeVR back in March and this time they have come up with the Pro Version of the application. MakeVR is a 3D modelling and computer aided design engine which can be used by the amateur and professional developers both. The Pro version of the application has many new tools for more precise alignment of objects.

MakeVR Pro has many new tools with increased accuracy and details of 3D projects which will help the professional 3D designers to design better content. Designers will be able to use jigs, grids, and rulers, snapping, mirroring, tracking to improve the fine tuning of their designs.

Joel Breton, General Manager of Vive Studios said,” The new tools of precision combined with Vivi's room scale technology will help MakeVR Pro to become the primary tool for 3D object modelling for professionals. Users can manipulate objects with increased precision which will allow them to take more advantage of space and fidelity that VR allows which is similar to the way carpenters work in their real-world shops.”

There is also an in-app tutorial to help users through the process of learning the new functionality. MakeVR Pro also has the ability to export standard objects files for 3D printing. You can send the files to the local 3D printer to a 3D printing service like Shapeways.

The CEO of Sixense said,” We wanted to keep the application simple to use but enhance the functionalities. Our collaboration with Vive studios has made for a professional grade creative experience which provides a powerful way for people for ranging from novice to professionals to build precision models while immersed in a virtual environment.

You can get MakeVR Pro from Viveport website for $39.99 for the new users. The old users will be given free access to the newly enhanced version.
