PayPal to create an AR system to enhance users shopping experience
PayPal, one of the world’s leading online money transfer holder, has filed for the patent on a new AR system. According to this patent, PayPal will create a system that will enable the users to purchase the things that can see. PayPal believes that this could revolutionize the way people make the transaction in the physical world.
The new technology will use augmented reality to bring “point and click purchasing” concept in real life scenario.
The user will be able to use this system to engage with any specific object say a bus. The system, a bus, in this case, would give all the necessary details like the route information, fare amount, time it would take. At, last the system would give the user an option to purchase a ticket and ride the bus.
It remains to be seen whether PayPal will develop its own AR headset or will collaborate with other companies like Google, Facebook that is working heavily on AR technologies.
This new system could generate many customers for PayPal and would certainly increase their profit.
