Mazda to offer VR test drive to customers
The popularity of Virtual Reality has not been limited to only one sector. Now, every company has realized the things that can be achieved using VR and they are trying to harness this technology to engage with customers in better way. VR is being used in advertising, gaming industry which is providing an immersive experience to the users.
Mazda, one of the car manufacturer have decided to offer VR test drives to customers. Customers who will attend one of the four locations from Mazda shopping centre tour will have the chance to use a VR headset to experience a Virtual drive around the Longcross test track in Surrey. The customers will also have the freedom to choose a driver or passenger side experience and take a virtual seat in Mazda CX-5. The test drive will include a number of high adrenaline maneuvers, culminating in a two-wheeled balancing act stunt.
The tour is a part of Mazda effort to promote the new Mazda CX-5. The company is hoping that the new technology will provide a more in-depth look at the new car is like. The company also wants to create a sense of oneness with the car. The customers can test the car while seating in the car but without actually leaving the building. The use of VR will give customers a better idea about the quality of the car.
