Masterpiece VR offers a multiuser and spectator friendly painting and sculpting tool. This tool promises to house everything you need in a single place. Currently, no other content creation tools offers this kind of service. If everything goes as planned then Masterpiece VR can become the leading 3D creation tool.

Some of the unique features of Masterpiece VR are-

  1. It has more than 20 sculpting and painting tools.

  2. Up to 4 artists can collaborate on a piece of work. It means that you can develop any 3D artwork along with your friend.

  3. It also has the ability to view a desktop window while in VR. It means that you can easily check reference images while you create artwork or you can also play any video in the background.

  4. Masterpiece VR can export models to STL file format, making it possible to 3D print your virtual objects.

  5. There is a subtle surface control built into the primary sculpting tools.

  6. The tool gives an intelligent way for the smoothing algorithm to work when you are blending your shapes.

Jonathan Gagne (CEO of Masterpiece VR) said that they wanted to offer something new to the VR content creators. He said,” We want to push the boundaries by creating an organic 3D modeling tool which is both powerful and easy to learn. People could actually use this tool and work together in real-time to co-create on the same piece or contribute feedback or critique immediately.”

The company’s main focus was to keep the interface clean and simple to use so that any new developer or content creator does not find any difficulty in using the tools. Jonathan Gagne also said that Masterpiece VR gives clean sculpts in faster time compared to the other tools available in the market.

Masterpiece VR is now available on HTC VIVE and Oculus Rift. The company has also assured that it will soon add the support for Microsoft’s upcoming headsets. The app is available on Oculus Store and Viveport for $30.
