Michal Kosinski (professor at Stanford University) has developed an AI system that uses Artificial Intelligence to detect people’s IQ, personality by just looking at them. It can also detect all the information by just looking at your photo rather than in reality. The entire system is based on the machine learning and deep learning.

There has been a lot of debate going on whether this technology is will more bad than good. For example, some are saying that anyone can use this AI system to get all the information about person’s and that too without actually knowing them which is a shear violation of privacy. But, on the other, this technology has also several benefits like it can be used for customer research process which will help the companies develop a better product for customers in a particular region.

According to Michal Kosinski, this algorithm can also tell your political views with a pretty good accuracy only by seeing your face. Determining IQ by just looking at someone’s face will enable the government to put more focus on children with higher IQ so that they can help develop the society. She also said that algorithm could be modified to detect whether a person is innocent or guilty which can help saving many innocent lives.

The biggest question that lies in front of us is regarding the accuracy of this system. There is no official word regarding the accurate accuracy rate but according to some reports, it is around 70-85%.
