Matterport, a media technology company released Matterport Pro2 3-D camera. The company aims at the real estate market with the release of this camera.

This camera is capable of shooting 4K 2D images. It can also capture 3D and virtual reality walkthrough and floorplans.

Matterport Pro2 camera also has built-in GPS technology which can be used for automatic location tagging. This camera interfaces with Matterport Cloud technology which will allow the user to store their photos.

Bill Brown, the CEO of the company said,” There many cameras out there in the market but none offers all the facility in one. This camera could generate print quality photos, high-quality digital image. It can also give a fully 3D interactive floor plan and a good VR experience.”

The camera also interfaces with iPad capture app which can be used to control the camera. This camera will allow the user to capture the entire property in a 3D model. They can also store this online so that they can see the property without revisiting it physically.

The advancement of technology has not left any field untouched. The use of virtual reality and augmented reality in a real estate sectors are a clear example of that fact. Matterport Pro2 camera will be available for pre-order from Matterport website. The device will cost $3,995 USD and is scheduled to start shipping from 15th June 2017.
